What We Believe
We Believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, word of God without contradictions. That the Bible is relevant to humankind from Genesis to Revelation. That the Bible is a map for living a wholesome, and holy life. That there is one God manifesting Himself in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That God created all things through the Word (Jesus),who was made flesh, and walked among people on earth.
Jesus the Christ
Jesus is God and man, was born of the Holy Spirit of God, through a virgin named Mary. Jesus died on the cross, as the final sacrifice for the sins of all people. God raised Jesus' body from the dead, Jesus ascended back to heaven, and is now sitting on the right hand of God the Father, as our high priest, and is interceding for us.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person in the holy Trinity, which consist of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was sent to the earth to comfort, guide, and empower those who believe on Jesus to serve God. He regenerates those that believe on Jesus as their Savior, and causes them to become sons and daughters of God.
Salvation
Salvation occurs when one repents to God for sins against Him, acknowledges that Jesus died for their sins, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. Knowing this, a person receives salvation/regeneration when they accept Jesus as their Savior, and ask Him into their hearts to be their Lord, Master, and Savior. Salvation comes by faith in Jesus alone and not by works. Believers are saved by faith through the grace of the Lord, which is the offering up of His Son Jesus for forgiveness of sins.
Baptism and Communion
Water baptism is immersion in water as an outward sign of what one believes about Jesus, and that they have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Communion is a symbol of the Lord's death, burial, and resurrection, and should be taken by all believers until we meet the Lord in the sky.
